Here I am playing bass with The Angry Amigos. Find us on Soundcloud and Facebook. I wasn't always the bass player - I only decided to learn after our bass player left 3 years ago. This convinced me it's never too late to follow your dream!

It's just as important to cultivate inner head space as it is to look after the world outside.

If you would like my help to find your community's voice get in touch.

I am a trained actor with over twenty years experience performing live theatre and my own poetry in London and Teesside.

I'm also a bass player and singer-songwriter. You can hear some of my songs by clicking on the links below.

I wrote Kuiper Belt Blues after watching Brian Cox's 'Wonders of the Solar System'.

I went to bed and woke up at 3am with the keyboard riff and some lyrics n my head so I went downstairs and recorded it onto my Blackberry. It's a love song from the Sun to lonely, eccentric Pluto, who is totally unaware he's adored by a star. By the way on this recording the bass is played by Graham Pearson, not me. At this stage I considered myself 'just a backing singer' .

This Youtube clip is from the first Angry Amigos gig where I played bass. This is another one of my songs, developed from a poem I wrote a few years ago when I was a regular contributor to Wordlab, a spoken word performance group based in Hartlepool. It was written as a reaction to hearing of the sudden death of my first proper boyfriend.

This next clip is the Angry Amigos playing the Nursery in Hartlepool last October. Our Ste couldnt play his sax because he'd hurt his arm but I'm happy to say that he's better now. We're playing a lovely old T-bone Walker song - When we were schoolmates.

Two more songs I started by singing into my phone - both performed with Charabanc Dreams. These recordings are a little rough but we plan to have an album out in Spring 2015

I wrote Nobody's Home with Rob Neal when he was  playing guitar with Angry Amigos but we perform it with Charabanc Dreams. He wrote the music and I supplied the lyric.
